Unofficial, community-maintained description of the Scouting America sign-in API at auth.scouting.org. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Scouting America. The MIT license applies to this description and repository only, not to the API or its data.

Every request must send Accept: application/json; version=2. Without a version, the API returns 400. version=1 returns 410.

Authentication

Signing in with a my.scouting.org account

Sign in

Signs in with a my.scouting.org username and password. Send the returned token as Authorization: Bearer <token> to call api.scouting.org endpoints that need a signed-in user. The response also sets it as the token cookie on .scouting.org, along with a SessionToken cookie holding sessionToken.
